Program Structure Grades 1-6
Catechists will use the design of the textbook to help students learn, live, and love their faith. The text is designed to help the students, your children build their Catholic identity.
Lessons will follow a three-step learning process, inviting the children to Share, Hear and Believe, and to Respond. Each of the five units is designed around the four pillars of Catechism; faith, worship, life, and prayer.
Each chapter includes readings from Scripture and church teachings. Review exercises at the end of each chapter reinforce each lesson. Chapter review tests are available online at the Blest are We website. Faith in Action pages highlight parish ministries and vocations.
A write-in glossary and mini-catechism are included in the back of each text book.
We will have weekly updates available on this website! We look forward to working with you as the year goes on.

Class Room Highlight
While every class works towards learning the Good News as proclaimed in the Gospel - they all have individual roles in corporal and spiritual works of mercy as well. This weeks classroom highlight goes to Mrs. Nicole Gerrity and the 7th grade classroom for their work in collecting cans and bottles to raise money for charity events.
Absenteeism
If a child is absent, their assignments will be posted on the website. Families who do not have internet access may call Sister Therese for the assignment. It is important that parents call us to report an absence prior to Sunday morning. If we do not hear from you, we will call you on Sunday morning.
Homework
Catechists are encouraged to assign "homework" to their students each week. This is designed so that religion is not just something that happens on Sunday morning. They may be asked to work with you on something or to put into practice something they have been learning about. Please check your child's folder each week!
